Safety Protocols

  • All firing must be done from within the covered firing line.  This is a condition of our arrangement with the City and is meant to reduce the noise impact for City residents.
  • Wear eye and ear protection.
  • As a courtesy to other shooters and as an additional safety measure, only have one round of ammunition in your firearm at a time.
  • In addition to muzzle direction always being down range, the muzzle must always be kept relatively parallel to the ground.
  • All materials capable of producing ricochets on the range (steel target stands, steel reactive targets, bowling pins, etc) must be contained within a wooden enclosure.
  • All posted targets must be posted on the available target boards only (not on the posts or the wooden enclosures housing the steel targets).
  • Use approved targets only (NOT rocks, NOT golf balls, NOT television sets, NOT doors, NOT buildings, etc).
  • Always pick up your live rounds and take them away with you.
